Phonetics is an art of reading and writing with the help of the sounds of alphabets. Phonics is a method of teaching to read by correlating sounds with symbols in an alphabetic writing system. An alphabet has a pronunciation of its own, when it is pronounced individually. It has got different sound when it is combined with the other alphabets.
Phonics is a method of teaching beginners to read and pronounce words by learning the sounds of letters, letter groups, and especially syllables. Phonics helps a student to improve the ability to hear and identify the spelling.
WHAT DOES A CHILD LEARN IN PHONICS?
A child learns individual sounds, starting sounds, ending sounds of alphabets, high frequency words, short vowel sounds, long vowel sounds, syllables, vowel digraphs, consonant digraphs, diphthongs, spelling rules, two letter and three letter blends, suffix, prefix, exceptions, silent letters and so on.
It eases the student from mugging up spelling for each and every word. Phonics helps students to write the words by hearing the sounds.
This program is for students from Lkg to Class 2. Any class student with difficulty in reading and writing can also join this program..
