Adobe Communique 5, or CQ5, is a large-scale web content management system that is currently available from Adobe Systems (the makers of Photoshop and Illustrator). Originally developed by Swiss company Day Software, the CQ platform changed hands when Adobe acquired Day in October 2010.

Adobe CQ5 is geared specifically for large companies and corporations with substantial -and often global- infrastructures. It combines web content management, digital asset management, and social collaboration to deliver a solution that allows large companies to manage incredible amounts of information, multiple internal and external websites, a myriad of media assets, and detailed workflow.

Overview

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is an application component of the Adobe Marketing Cloud suite by Adobe Systems. It organizes, manages, and delivers contents with the purpose of creating advertising. From Amazon Web Services where it is hosted, it provides users with templates for creating targeted content and which can later be published securely from the AWS cloud.

Prerequisites

• Strong knowledge and experience with JavaScript in the client side environment
• Strong knowledge and experience with Java Server Pages (JSP)
• Advanced knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (Java preferred)
• Knowledge of open standards (e.g. XML, LDAP)
