MODULE 2 - PRESENTATION

  • Orthographic views:
    • To understand drawing of an object from different directions
  • Isometric grid
  • Way of presenting drawing in 3D:
    • To understand direction, Angels between the axis.
  • Rendering of stones: Cabochons Transparent, Translucent and opaque
  • Yellow and white gold rendering
  • Settings of the stone: Pave, prong, bezel, channel, invisible, flush, Pressure & tension setting.

MODULE 3 - METAL UNDERSTANDING
  • Basic gemology knowledge Organic & inorganic stones , pearls , navratans.
  • Metallurgy, Various types of metals and properties- Gold , silver, platinum, bronze, Copper
  • Understanding of karat and Carat
  • Why do we alloy?
  • Alloys of gold- pink gold, green gold, White gold
  • What is purity?
  • Hallmark jewellery
  • What is german silver?
  • Manufacturing techniques: casting, Melting of gold
