Introduction
This Workshop on Solar Energy imparts hands on experience of using those renewable energy sources to build projects that work for students. Participants will be introduced to various types of alternative energy sources and the applications of it. In this workshop participants will develop a solar-powered mobile charger.

- Lecture by Expert on Alternative Energy Sources - 1 hour
- Lecture on Solar Energy - 2 hours
- Designing of Solar-powered Mobile Charger - 3 hours
- Testing of Solar-powered Mobile Charger and Competition - 1 hour
- Awards and Certificates - 0.5 hours
- Solar Panel
- Bread Board
- Wire Stripper*
- Electrical components of mobile charger
- Screwdriver and other tools*
All the above components would be provided during the program to participants in groups of 5 but would be taken back at the end.
Participants registering in groups of 5 will get take-home kit for free. Take-home kit consists of all the above items excluding the items marked with *.
