The Union Public Services Commission is India's Central recruiting agency. It is responsible for appointment to and examination for All India Services and group A & B of central services.
UPSC CSE :- ( CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION )
- It is a nation wide competitive exam in India conducted by the UPSC for the recruitment to various civil services of government of India like IAS, IFS, IPS, ETC.
- The CSE is considered to be one of the most difficult and competitive exam in India.
- Every year about 9-10 lakh candidates apply and about 4-5 lakh appear the exam. It consists of 3 stages.
- Prelims A qualifying test consists of 2 papers (GS&CSAT) having 200 M. each and held , in June- July each year . Results are published in mid. August.
- Mains Held in October and results are usually published in the 2nd week of March. Consists of 7 papers (1750 M) and 2 language papers qualifying in nature.
- Interview (PT) 275 marks & the last & final stage of CSF.
- Eligibility Graduation /Bachelor's degree or any equivalent qualification from a recognised University.
- Age ( 21-32) For General, OBC -35, SC&ST- 37
- No.Of Attempts General 6, OBC : 9, SC&ST - Unlimited till 37 yrs
