The rapid growth in population and industrialization, and the associated increase in energy demand and consumption. Solar electricity is a renewable source of energy that has been with use since the onset of life. The sun is very promising as a source of energy. As much as solar was expensive in the past, during the last 30 years alone scientists have come up with a good and reliable way of tapping the energy from the sun. Solar energy is captured through solar panels and converted to solar electricity using Photovoltaic (PV) technology. PV solar panels are longer lasting and efficiently convert energy from the sun to electricity. Solar power has two forms the thermal and photovoltaic. Each of these forms produces electricity different from each other.
In this course technical/practical skills related to solar energy would be provided along with Entrepreneurial Development inputs such as motivation, Government Schemes, sources of solar equipment/spare parts & Marketing etc. through professional trainers of concerned field.

- Various Other Usages of Solar Energy i.e. Water Heaters, Solar Dryers, Solar Cookers, etc.
- To design a appropriate Solar Photo Voltage System, Budgetary Costing & Price Estimation
- Knowledge of various equipment’s, parts used to build the solar photo voltage system
- Basic calculations, connections & operations of solar photo voltage system for residential and Industrial power packs as well.
- Tools required for installation and maintenance of solar photo voltage system using digital multi-meter. What is net metering? & its advantages.
- Periodically maintenance, safety, precautions and repairing of solar system
- Troubleshooting & solutions on problems comes during installations of solar systems
- About new solar policies @ governing bodies, promoting solar energy in India.
- Why Entrepreneurship?,Characteristics of Entrepreneur & Govt loan schemes such as PMEGP etc.
- Program will be conducted in English/Hindi/Marathi along with informative videos, examples and roleplays.
