This course focuses on the therapeutic aspects of Thai Yoga Massage. You will also learn the ancient system of massage called TOKSEN (working with wooden wedge and mallet on energy lines of the body) and elements of Japsen along with the pressure points
to relieve back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain etc. You will learn about the advance energy lines (SEN) and the ailments associated with the disruption of these lines. On completion of the course you will be able to deliver therapeutic 60-120
min of bodywork effortlessly.
Advanced (levels 3 and 4) have the following structure
- Advanced SEN(Energy Line)
- Toksen
- Japsen
- Pressure Point therapy
Level 3
Toksen course is included as a part of Level 3 of Thai Yoga Massage and is instructed over two days of learning and practice. The breakdown is as follows:
- Introduction to Toksen – History, benefits, and contraindications
- Using the Toksen equipment
- Practicing Toksen in Supine and side position
- Practicing Toksen in Prone and seated position
- Choreographing Toksen in combination with Thai Yoga Massage
The advanced techniques of Thai Yoga Massage delve into the energy lines of the body (Sen) and the ailments and conditions that disrupt the energy lines. The lines include:
- Sen Sumana
- Sen itta, Pingkala
- Sen Kalathari
- Sen Sahatsarangsi, Thawari
- Sen Lawusang, Ulangka
The understanding of the energy lines helps in identifying the massage techniques that alleviate pain and promote energy flow along the disrupted Sen.
You learn advance technique called JAPSEN ( famous Nerve Touch school technique, also known as Jack Chaiya style who inherited the legacy and great reputation of his mother, Momma lek Chaiya,)
Level 4
This chapter deals with pressure points and helps you in understanding how Acupressure techniques are incorporated into Thai Yoga Massage to promote healing and convalescence.
Some of the ailments addressed are:
- Headaches
- Neck Pain
- Shoulder pain caused by hypertension, digestive problems, menstrual cramps, and exhaustion)
- Knee Pain
- Back Pain
- Numbness in limbs

Food
Mysore, like all the other south Indian states is mostly rice based. You will be surprised by the variety of Dosas and its accompaniment. They are a must try. Lunch is wholesome, which includes a cereal salads , vegetable cooked in tamarind juice with chilli
powder, broth of lentils and vegetables cooked together with ground coconut, spices, tamarind and chilli powder . You will also find variety of local sweets unique to Mysore. You will also find western style food very easily as there are lot of cafes and restaurants
catering the same.You find lot of restaurants around the school.
