The course sheds light on the anatomy, physiological and psychological changes and needs of a pregnant woman, knowledge and preparedness of complications like miscarriage, premature labor etc. The course also covers a detailed study of specialized yoga techniques and approaches to meet these and other needs of prenatal yoga practitioners.
The practices are classified trimester-wise and practices include asana, pranayama, shatkarma, yoga nidra, meditation and specialized breathing techniques that can be used during labor. The Yoga teacher will learn designing a yoga session with the right modification, sequence, contraindications and intensity best suited for a prenatal yoga practitioner.
Objective: The course is designed to equip yoga teachers with knowledge and first- hand experience of teaching Prenatal Yoga in a safe and enriching manner.
Eligibility: RYT 200 with 1 year of yoga teaching experience. (Exceptions accepted on a case-by-case basis – meet TTC student counselor in person for acceptance into program)
The course is registered under *Yoga Alliance’s RPYT*, a standard recognised internationally.
